Harmonise
not Polarise
Combat online and offline hate effectively. We are all One Team.
Who
We Are
One Team Tech helps organisations – from global brands to leading sports clubs – tackle ethically challenging, negative & hateful content online.
We combine cutting-edge technology with in-depth academic research and analysis from Dr. Jan Breitsohl (The University of Glasgow), with real-world expertise from Stop Hate UK, the UK’s leading hate crime charity.
Our approach has been tested with 150+ organisations across 14 industries, surveying more than 2,300 social media followers.

Why One Team Tech Exists
Ethically challenging, negative & hateful content online is growing, yet many organisations still rely on deleting these comments or staying silent. Whilst this may remove the problem from view, it rarely reduces harm or changes behaviour - and can adversely effect, even damage trust with audiences. This in turn leads to lower customer and employee well-being, brand loyalty and CSR credibility.
Impact of ethically challenging, negative & hateful content:
~-34% in followers’ well-being
~-68% in positive brand perception
~-41% in positive word-of-mouth
~-24% in purchase intentions

Image: This is an example of three brands from many we have worked with. Some brands have a constant stream of hateful comments. Some have a constant low level of hate on their X timelines. We can also see spikes in hate across brands in certain time periods e.g. March.

It is the responsibility of the social media platform not us!
This is an objection we often come across at One Team Tech. Whilst the platform providers should do more to restrict the people from their platforms proven to be persistent sources of online hate. It is also our collective responsibility to engage in a positive way with these people, in an attempt to change their mindset. This is not only for the good of the brand but it is great for the good of the people employed by that brand and the customers that make the brand.
In doing this we will all make a difference and demonstrate that we are committed to positive change and our corporate social responsibility and are all one team.
